My paintings have been exhibited at Woodbury Museum of Art, Utah, Marin Museum of Contemporary Art, California, and The University of Arizona.
My work was getting larger while my 600 square foot apartment was getting smaller. So, a few years ago I decided, with my husband to
move from N.Y.C. to Arizona. The advantage, I finally get to expand and flourish, both as an artist, and as outdoor enthusiast. Hiking right
from my back door, to experience some of the most remote canyons, and wilderness; later to return to my studio with a head full of boundless scenery. Ready to express it through translucent color layers, opulent texture merging to form large abstract fields.
The creative process continues to be an intuitive process for me, I spend long days in the studio allowing myself to step into the lush surfaces I create. My compositions evolve into conceptual assertions of nature that undergo an enduring metamorphosis. I want to engage the imagination and convey an ardent connection to atmospheres and places.
Born in Queens, New York, a graduate from the School of Visual Arts, with a BFA, and continued studies in graphics and web design at N.Y.U., and F.I.T., I have been painting, and designing for the past 25+ years. While working in my studio and exhibiting, I have simultaneously Art Directed for major magazine publications in N.Y.C.
